Here is my attempt at providing the meaning for this padam. Please note some minor changes I have made to the sAhitya based on what I have heard. And there are at least 2 more caraNams

kaNNan varak-kANEnE peNNE kAttirundu payan ennaDi mAnE
Oh girl (peNNE) I am unable to see (kANEnE) kRshNa (kaNNan) come (vara).
Oh beautiful girl (mAnE), what (ennaDi) is the use (payan)of waiting (kAttirundu)?

(He will) come (vandu) at the time (vELai tannil) when moonbeams (veNNilavu) spread (vIsum) [1] everywhere,
