இடையர் செய்த இசைக் கருவிகள் @ பெரும்பாணாற்றுப்படை
"மேய்ச்சலுக்காகத் தங்கள் கன்றுகளை மிகவும் விரும்பும் ஆநிரைகளை இடையர்கள் காட்டிற்கு கொண்டு போவார்கள்.
போன இடத்தில் பொழுதை நல்ல இசையுடன் கழிக்க விரும்பினான் ஒரு இடையன்.(இப்ப இருந்திருந்தால் ஒரு வேலை இளையராஜா பாடல்களைக் கேட்டிருப்பானோ என்னமோ
). ஆனால் கையில் எந்த இசைக் கருவியும் இல்லை!
கையால் 'ஞெலி' எனும் தீக்கடைக்கோலைக் கொண்டு தீயை உண்டாக்கினான்.அந்தப் புகையின் அழகான நுண்ணியமான மணம் எங்கும் கமழ்ந்தது.இதனால் உருவான பேராற்றல் வாய்ந்தக் கொள்ளியான சிவந்த தீ மூலமாக மூங்கிலில் துளையை போட்டு,அழகான குழலை உருவாக்கினான்.கரிய துளைகள் உடைய அந்தக் குழலை ஊதி,பாலை எனும் பண்ணோசையை எழுப்பி மகிழ்கிறான்.
கொஞ்ச நேரம் கழித்த பின்பு,குழலோசை அவனுக்கு அலுத்து போகுது.
குமிழ மரத்தின் 'புழல்' எனும் உள்துளைகள் வாய்ந்தக் கொம்பை வளைத்து கட்டி யாழின் தண்டாக்கினான்.அதில் 'மரல்' எனும் கற்றாழையின் நாரினால் நரம்புகள் செய்து,வில்லின் வடிவத்தைக் கொண்ட யாழை செய்தான்.தன் விரல்களை அதில் எறிந்து குறிஞ்சி என்னும் பண்ணோசையை எழுப்புகிறான்.அந்த ஓசையைக் கேட்டு,'பல்காற் பறவை'( பலகால்கள் உடைய பறவை) எனப்படும் வண்டுகள், பிற வண்டுகளின் ரீங்கார ஓசை என எண்ணி மகிழ்ந்துக் கேட்கத் தொடங்கின ",
என்கிறது பெரும்பாணாற்றுப்படை.

வில் யாழ் இசைக்கும் விரல் எறி குறிஞ்சி
பல்காற் பறவை கிளை செத்து ஓர்க்கும்’

Cowherd men take their cows to fields for grazing.While the cows are busy grazing,one cattle herder gets bored and feels like hearing to some good music.But he does not have any music instrument on hand(If it was now,may be he would have heard to some Ilayaraja song
)He picks few kindling sticks in his hand and tries to produce fire.Beautiful smoke created through this spreads everywhere.Using the strong red flame left after the fire,he pierces holes in a bamboo stick and makes a flute.He then blows that flute with black holes and creates the Palai tune.
After some time he gets bored with this.
He then chooses a hollow gmelina(Kumizh in Tamil) branch, bends it and ties Aloe vera(Maral or Katrashai in Tamil) fibers as strings and creates a Yazh in the shape of a bow.Using this Yazh,he starts playing the Kurinji tune.Bees hear this sound and start enjoying it,thinking it’s the humming sound of other bees
