Can anyone tell me who has tuned the krithi 'manasa sancharare' of Sadashiva Brahmendraal in the ragam Sama.

Re: Manasa sancharare
I initially had an impression that it was tuned by SSI. But, recently heard MMI singing this. Though, there are possibilities that the latter could have learnt this from SSI, I had a doubt whether this version was in circulation even before the period of SSI.

That post says SSI.
MDR has sung Bhavayami tuned by SSI. MMI also might not have had any qualms.

This seems to suggest that MMI would not have sung it if tuned by SSI.
I do not know whether SSI sung any song tuned by contemporaries.

Thanks for pointing out emphatically.
I read/heard that it was SSI who set to tune the SB kritis in his early twenties (V Sriram in Sanjay podcasts). A friend said that Sri G S Mani felt that the tunes were not appropritae and that he would reset them, but that he never did it. BMK sings in different tunes.

Re: Manasa sancharare
I have heard that SSB songs were set to tune first by SSI and he had even pointed out that alterations may not be proper as the first tunesmith must be respected for it. Khelathi mamahridaye in Ataana is highly representative of the SSI vazhi as many know. Chinta naastikila and Bruhimukundeti were also popularised by him.
However SSB kritis were subject to lot of independent tuning by other musicians and a few of the compositions came out in pure Hindustani mode. (Eg. Brahmaivaaham kila as sung by Voleti and several other kritis by MBK etc).
Ashtapadis too have more or less met the same end.

I was able to hear it from a private collection. I do not know about its availability otherwise.
