veena and mantras

veena and mantras

In a post related to veena which I read:

The Veena of the Vedic period: -

1.During Yajnas (holy sacrifice), the priest and the performer chanted, and the
latter's wife played the Veena called 'Audumbari', that is made of Audumbara wood.
2.In another place, it is said that 'Picchola' was the Veena
played upon by the wife of the performer of the Yajna.
The word Veena seems to have been first used in the Vedas.
3.In the Ashwamedha sacrifice, the Veena was used as an accompaniment to chant
the mantras. The Vedas extol the Veena as "This, the Veena is verily the
embodiment of beauty and prosperity".
4.in the sama veda period,
as women were not allowed to chant vedas they accompanied the men's recital with veena in the evenings.
(that is why the tradition exits, that we play veena in the evenings)

also i have read

1.ragas like punnagavarali, revathi, madhyamavathi, kharaharapriya were used
2.usually pentatonic scales were choosen
3.as veda recital grouped 3 swaras in an avartha which made it easier to use audava ragas(as heard from my guru)

some of examples of what I found that resemble mantras:
