shyamala dandakam chanting the vedic way

Post by ajaysimha »

hello rasikas,

could any one help in finding a guru or a recording to chant shyamala dandakam the vedic way(i mean the shloka format).
it is very difficult to just follow the book and learn
i tried to locate shyamala dandakam recordings but every recording is rendered as ragamalika.
(but still i like the legendary DKP amma's recording)

thanks,
Ajay Simha

Have you seen this? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cIWUhMRa9-0

A very nice into in Malayalam as well, which I think you can follow even if you are not a Malayalam speaker. Not sure if this is the "vedic" way you wanted, but then again this is a composition not "Sruthi".
