#1 can a user delete a topic initiated by him ?

Post by RSR » 21 Oct 2016, 22:32

Recently I had posted some requests either on ragam or lyrics or meaning. Is it permissible to remove the post if the query has been answered or has bben pending for over 3 months? ..to clear the space.

RSR, You can not do that.

Do not worry about space. Who knows, six months from now someone may answer your questions.

VK has answered fully.
Sometimes, addl. discussion also takes place. Moreover someone else may benefit from the discussion. That is the idea of a forum. It is not as in private tuition, but as in a class.

As long as your post is not continued by another poster , for a very short time either half an hour or 1 hour(srkris may clarify the exact window time for deletion), you can delete your post. This is a useful feature as some times you may hit the submit button twice creating duplicate post.

Please do not ask forum use related questions in 'General Discussions', it should be in 'Forum Use & Development'. I am moving this thread there.
