Sri. Kalāmandalam Geethanandan, the famous Thullal artist from Kerala passed away while performing on stage. A blessed soul indeed !!

He was performing as Hanumān in the Kalyāņa Sowganthikam episode of the Mahābharat at Avittathur Mahāvishnu Temple in Thrissur (Kerala), when he prostrated and collapsed on stage.

In an interview last year he had mentioned that he looked forward to such a blessed death.

I have no idea about thullal, may be it is close to kathakali. If a performer sings,acts and dances simultaneously in a live stage it must be one of a kind. Writeup on Feb 01st,2018 in The Hindu.

Madavoor Vasudevan Nair , Kathakali exponent, 87 , passed away yesterday. Again, collapsed on stage during a performance.
