Sameeksha is organising a Carnatic Music retreat from 17th to 20th May, 2018 at Kotagiri Hills. Various aspects of Carnatic Music will be handled by expert faculty of Sameeksha- vidushis Aruna Ranganathan and Dr. Vijayalakshmy Subramaniam & Vidwans Dr. Sunder and Mannarkoil J.Balaji. This is a great opportunity for driven students of music to receive individual attention from each guru. Lessons include rare kritis, manodharma and concert performance.

Fee for this retreat will be Rs. 9500/- (6000/- for course and 3500/- for 4 days Board and Lodging) which will include Food, accommodation, course materials, local transport.

Best wishes Vidushi Viji Subra and team. I just have seen few initiatives like yours and few other musicians doing a retreat in Srilanka in the last few years. I am atleast conjecturing with food , that cool climate of Ooty and kotagiri, you will not teach atleast neelambari krithis to your students

It’s a delightful few days completely immersed in music, punctuated with delicacies every few hours to rejuvenate ourselves!
The team always goes into withdrawal when we have leave the beautiful place with great weather......
