a talk by Venkatesh Ramakrishnan
The story of, how Kattabomman became a household name in Tamilnadu as the greatest freedom fighter, takes place in the 1940's and 1950's. Trace this fascinating tale of ballads, books, stage and cinema which crafted this transformation.
Venkatesh Ramakrishnan is a bilingual novelist, historian, and columnist. His ‘Gods Kings and Slaves’ was a bestselling historical novel published by Hachette. He has also written three historical novels in Tamil, one of them being ‘Kaveri Maindan’, a sequel to Kalki’s Ponniyin Selvan.
