Wonder if anyone can throw some light on the lakshanaa of Raaga aandhaali. Only krithi I know of in this raaga is by Dikshitar.
I dont have SSP. Please enlighten me ....

janya of 28th mela hari kamboji.There are two major compositions,Abhimanamu by Thyagaraja and Bhrahannayaki by Deekshitar.
According to T.K.Govinda Rao?s book on Deekshitar,the aro srgmpns and ava snpmgrs but according to certain othertexts,aro srmpns ava snpmrgmrs.

The most accepted version of the ragam is as janya of 28th mELam. However, Brinda-Muktha School sing it as a janya of 22nd mELam with a different gAndhAram.

I have heard Kalpakam mami playing (and singing along) the kriti in the 28th mELa scheme on umpteen times. Chitravina Ravikiran sang the kriti at his conert at musiri chambers according to the B-M pATantaram.
