I knew I wasn't done with chitrAmbari or its janyas. This rAgA with a mouthful of a name comes under chitrAmbari.

There is only one composition in this rAgA - kamsAntaka nannu brOcuTaku by Tiruvottiyoor Thyagayya. And as luck would have it, there is a recording of it.

But upon listening to it, I am struggling to find any distinction between this rAgA and chitrAmbari itself. I can hear the same phrases. If it looked like it wasn't that different, aurally it doesn't seem to be distinct either. The recording quality is terrible and that doesn't help matters.
Needs more investigation....
