I think generally songs in Kurinji do not go beyond D2 whereas Nilambari has wide range of Sancharams ?

Padam in raga kurinji -
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TWpCfe4Qlbs -
this is a movie clip (telugu movie - pooja phalam with ANR Jamuna Savitri) - this clip is a dance by the famous L Vijayalakshmi - for a Javali in Raga Kurinji - composed in 18th century by Ghanam Seenayya; it is in Telugu.
the music set is quite fast paced - which is quite in contrast to the rather leisurely raga kurinji it is supposed to be tuned to.

In fact, it is not very difficult to distinguish between these two ragas. Neelambari has a lot of rgmGs phrases with that lullaby-like lilt, and a lot more PNS and SNP phrases (for examples of all these, listen to Madhava Mamava deva, Amba Nilayatakshi, Panchasayaka Janakan, Tholliunu Maragu and the likes). Kurinji is just Sankarabharanam from D to D (Muddugare yasoda). In fact, I believe that Neelambari and Kedaram is the pair that is tougher to differentiate.
