Prince Rama Varma in Chennai

Organised by the Neelakantan Sivan Sangeetha Sabha, Prince Rama Varma will be giving a concert on the 19th of December. Following are the details:

Venue: Ganapati Sachidananda Ashram, Taramani Link Road
Baby Nagar, Velachery.
Time : 7 pm.
Violin : M.A.Krishnaswamy
Mridangam: Cherthala Ananthakrishnan
His concerts being rare and far between, it would be a wonderful opportunity to listen to this sublime artiste.

Arasiji,
There are two more concerts in Chennai by Varmaji- 28th and 31st- the former at SriRanjini Sabha in the morning and the latter at AIMA in the evening. I do not know the exact timings, but perhaps you will be able to attend either of these or maybe if time and convenience permits, both....

Nick H- I had a hearty laugh seeing your expansion of the acronym AIMA

. Infact, it is Academy of Music and Fine Arts, an organisation established by the very versatile T.V.Gopalakrishnan, who excelled both as a percussionist and a vocalist.

cienu- If and when I can get my hands on the exact venue and time, I will post it here....as for directions, I should be the last person to give you directions as Chennai to me, is as alien as Mars...

In the name of fairness, I have to say that I have known, and continue to meet good and honest auto drivers.

But generally speaking, they were my main reason for buying a car --- I got so fed up with them!
