Arun,
Nice one. Loved clues 4 and 12 in particular!

Arun,
Great job! I am a crossword buff but couldn't do more than a few (not well-versed in music and cryptic really gets me!)

Vidya,
Naturally, it was a piece of cake for you! I liked all the straight forward clues including the Asterix one!

Arun! Wonderful. But unfortunately I also say Vidya's answer. Obviously I could have not answered all. Request members not to post back. Please give a week's time for posting the answers.......

I liked 12 and 5. Struggled with 1 for a while until I realized that it was a shortened form! Thanks - really enjoyed it...

Well since all of the others have been nailed - Arabhi should be Saveri - i. e "save" "ri" - a nice one!

I liked the fact that the crossword was invariant with respect to V-W substitutions (MalAwi ,"Dwijavanthi").

Duh @ Saveri! I got a great kick out of the fact that the rishabha being a jIvaswara of Arabhi
also contained an anagram of the raga that I could not look beyond it. Next time we will only email the answers and wait for a week.

Very strict rules of crosswords! Anagrams are indicated in some way and parts of phrases indicated in other ways. The two cannot be combined in one clue. i.e. We cannot have an anagram of part of a word/phrase. I think Arun has followed almost all of crossword etiquette except perhaps for the non-diagonal-symmetric grid. Good one!
