Nandalala Youth Concert Sunnyvale, CA

Under the auspices of the Nandalala Foundation, Northern California on Sunday the 31st of May, Nayantara Narasimhan gave a vocal concert. She was a young girl of maybe 12 years of age and a disciple of Smt. Anuradha Sridhar. The concert reminded me of an MA a/n program because it started exactly at 14 00 hrs. It was well attended by sangeetha priyas young and old alike. The concert was at the house of a Nandalala Foundation volunteer and was very cozy like a chamber concert. The vocalist was accompanied by:

Violin Parthiv Mohan
Mirudhangam Vignesh Venkataraman disciple of UKS

The concert was very good and the artist's talent was quite visible when she sang Bhairavi. The song list is:

Both violin and mirudhangam were excellent enhancing Nayantara's talent. All in all, it was an afternoon well spent and literally music to my ears.

Good to know, we have buding artist named Nayantara coming up to entertain rasikAs. If there is recording available of one or two renditions, we would love to listen.

unfortunately we could not attend as there was screening of Marghazhi Raagam movie (Bombay Jayashree and TMK) on the same day
