Kastoori Rangesha - Lyrics and Translation

When i ordered Nrityopasana 20 from someone, the cd contained an extra track.
a song the went like:

Manthara giri Garudaina kastoori rangesha

I have no clue wat raga it is sung in, who composed it, what language it is composed in or anything.

the thalam is Mistra chapu.
It was sung by Madurai t sethuraman.

My guess is Kannada.....Mandaragiri is Mandara mountain -- there is a Jain temple by this name in Karnataka some distance from B'lore.

this is a rather popular telugu padam 'Indendu vacchitivi rA! aladAni illu I vidhi kAdu po po rA!!'

I am not sure of the composer.. It is attributed by a few to kastUri ranga? fewer to ksetragna, and some others to melattur kAsinAtha -iah/sAstri..

You may want to change the title appropriately...

No that isn't right.

The thalam is mistra chapu and the pallavi starts with manthara giri gurudaina kastoori rangesha....

definetely not triputa thala.

Is my recording just sung differently?
The charana lyrics match and the pallavi lyrics end up as my recording's anupallavi lyrics but not the thalam....

song listed under triputa are sung in misra chapu.. no sweat..
