I started this one a few years ago [2005?] about people just posting what they are listening to with any comments, stories, anecdotes, anything we can learn off etc etc. So lets do it again.

Am listening to DKJ singing Bhajare Rechitha. Neraval is at "bhava raga thala modhini", amazing stuff. Till today the best rendition I have heard is by KJY with neraval at "devi shakthi ...", Have heard recordings of KVN and MSS, but somehow KJY one stuck. DKJ's version is just supreme.

A very lovely, beautiful, soul searching "Maakelara Vicharamu" by MSG...

My humble pranams to the master first and then a huge hug to Coolji for this wonderful gift...

Thinking about it, as long as people like Coolji doing this yeoman service...."Maakelera Vicharamu"!!

On this subject, does any one have ( Coolji included ) MSG rendition of "eti Janmam" in Varali? Love to hear the master's interpretation....

G. Ravikiran on FM Gold this morning. Sang Kaligiyunte and Bhuvidasu? before that. Sounded terrific! Thought it was Sanjay for a while - a similar voice.

DKJ again, am going thro the whole set of his concerts now. Ramabana in Saveri.

I remember seeing MSG's Eti Janma in Sageethapriya.org ... not 100% sure! Worth a look there.

An awesome Revathi RTP by Balamuralikrishna - "Mathangi Marakatangi Maheshwari". Love the way he goes into the almost Samavedic chants towards the middle. Found it on Sangeethapriya.

Alathur Brothers' rendition of sArivArilOna, a thyagaraja kriti in bhinnashadjam.

I came across this rare kriti very recently while playing a miscellaneous concert of
the brothers, and have been hooked to it!
