2. A priest’s rant in front of a fiery sacrificial fire turned musical in a second (8)ratnAngi

rant + agni turned = ratnangi; second = 2nd mela
By the way for few days I was scrambling this clue as agni and fiery and rant as kopa ending with agnikopa ,then had to change it to ratnangi after few days

10. A raga mudra in His name? That speaks volumes about him (11) Sarangadeva
raga mudra= Saranga His= god= deva
This clue was a bombshell in the sense I was too sure with the wrong answer for a long time . With raga mudra in his name as the key phrase I went for syamasastri , infact syamasastri speaks more volumes about him. Then with kiravani and a possible kaligiyuNte I had to change it to sarangadeva , of course got this only after a private mail from suji who said syamasastri and who indicated that some time before in one of the crosswords you have posted it to arun.

The worst thing to happen is to write confidently a wrong answer in a pen and in turn jeopadrizing many many clues because of that.

Suji
In short this crossword is superb , even though during the course of solving I was always thinking as to why suji is not giving a more perfect crossword like arun. Looks like with this you almost caught up with Arun.

Thanks a lot for playing. I had more fun creating this. I did not think I had to give prompts but I my ratings were going low so I had to get you all interested ;)

BTW: Trail mix is a snack which contains different kinds of nuts raisins etc often chocalate laden, used by people going on hikes/trails
I used this idea for ragamalika -as a gamaka laden trail mix

dhEnuka is an evil demon in mahabharata

Clues I enjoyed making were tillana, dikshitar and mohra and ramani. Abdul Kalam just struck me in the last moment

Don't worry Rajesh-mine is going to be only a quarterly assignment. Unless someone calls for a mid-term..
At least I'll get some rest from bombarding spam mails from you :)

6. It’s Lara again, this time playing this song with her hands. A cute performance by her (8)cEtulAra
cute performance= cEtu by Lara = cEtulAra (Means by one’s own hand)
In telugu does cetulara mean one's own hand
