*About the Artists:*
*Koushik Aithal*
A disciple of Pt. Parameshwar Hegde of the Kirana Gharana, he has performed
all over India at various prestigious concerts like Rajguru Smriti, Shruti
and Samvad. Awarded the Young Artists scholarship (2006-08) by the
Government of India and the Promising Artist Award (2006) by the ITC Sangeet
Research Academy, he has won the first place at the All India Radio national
level Hindustani Vocal Competition (2006).
*Madhusoodan Bhat*
A student of Dr Ravindra Katoti, he has accompanied famous artists including
Pt Parameshwar Hegde, Pt Ramesh Narayan and Smt. Piu Sarkel (Rajkot) and has
performed in many prestigious music festivals. He is also a member of the
faculty of music at Rashtreeya Vidyalaya Public School, Bangalore.
*Gurumurthy Vaidya*
A student of the well known tabla maestro Pt. Ravindra Yavagal, he is an AIR
graded artist. He has accompanied well known artists including Dr. N Rajam,
Late Pt. Ramarao Nayak and Pt. L K Pandit, and has received the Karnataka
Sangeet Nritya Kala Academy Award.
