I am aware that Sri Ramachandran is on a concert tour of US since Aug 2010. I know it because my friend, Nagai and my anna are accompanying him. Absense of any reveiw is extremely conspicous. Would appreciate a short summary of concerts this for. Regards

Brother of Sam Swaminathan whose talents range from being a Standup Comedian to Violinist

MR performed here in Morrisville, two years ago. B U Ganeshprasad was playing violin and Mannargudi Easwaran accompanied him on mridangam..The program lasted a full 4 hours well attended by an audience of over 100. He sang a kriti of his father on KAnchi paramAcArya in hindOLam.

Anyway I am waiting for that concert next month with MR, NAgai, and MannArguDi.

The song is a brilliant composition and used to be beautifully presented by MS. It covers all three achaaryas .I thought the family had abandoned it in recent years after the criminal charges/ scandal about the current swamis broke out. I wish they continue to sing it for its beauty.

May I take the privilege of presenting a preview of MR's concert? "He concluded his concert with an energy packed Bho, Sambho, Siva sambho, Swayambho!!!"

IIRC,On Sept 11th there is a concert in sandiego . bilahari will post a review of this .Would be nice if some one in the US gets sri ramachandran's schedule and posts it here . A terrific dream team of 3 brilliant artists.

Were you here at Morrisville (NC) for that concert on Sep 6, 2008? Yes, he concluded the concert with a vruttam "peRRa tAy tanai magamaRandAlum" (tiruvaruTpA by Ramalinga aDigaL) followed by BhO saambhO (rEvati). I wrote a report on that concert at the rec.music.indican.classical site.

Watch out, kssr! When the nimittigan predicted that iLango would inherit the throne instead of senguTTuvan, ILango asked the astrologer how long he (the astrologer) would live. The astrologer said 60 (at that time he was 40). iLango took a sword and chopped off the head of the astrologer to prove that astrology can be false. Then he renounced and became a jain saint. So I am going to forewarn MR to conclude the concert with something else.

My predictions are given only when I am sure that I am just at words distance not swords distance! But when nimithams do befall can it be stopped by just forewarning? Never.
Lakshmanan says when he is ordered by Sita to go behind Rama on hearing Mareecha's death cry " Venchina vidhiyinai vella vallamo" ? (Can we win fate when it comes in its full anger). Do not underestimate this "nimithigan" (as you have chosen to christen me with honour)
