Purattasi Shravanam is, generally accepted, as the appearance (avataram) day of Shrinivasan. I think it is mentioned to be a saturday in varAha and brahmANDa purANas.

Please of the advaitam faith have selected some of the days for worshiping certain deities. If you ask a Vaishnava, as dAsaravAru sings "indhu purandaraviTTalarAyana pADina dinavE Subhadinavu". Every single day has to be for worshiping him. As far as we are concerned, all 7 days are for worshiping HIM.

ThiruvONam is the one star which perumAL prefers to do most of His avatArams in. Some of his famous avatArams in that tirunakSatrams are SrInivAsan, hayagrIvan, vAmana-trivikrama, balarAman, etc.

For EkAdasi, read EkAdasi mAhAtmyam: http://nitaaiveda.com/Other_Scriptures_ ... hatmya.htm
