Nice viruttam in ahiri. But the audio gets very poor towards the end and breaks down.
Perhaps you can fix it!

Unfortunately, that is the only recording of the Ahiri kriti, digitised from a live sabha concert several years ago. I will replace the audio when I get a new recording from the artiste.

The clips are intended for the benefit of listeners in general, not students. In any case, given the artiste's current schedule, I'm afraid it is a non-starter. Certainly, an interesting suggestion though... something on similar lines was proposed once as a DVD series, but was considered not viable at the time.

Oh, this program is a wonderful idea for educating the public and demystifying Carnatic Music for the wider pool of potential listeners.

I just wonder about a few things..

1. After her mini elaboration of the raga, would it be better if she went straight into film songs to get the public connected to her raga, and then introduced the Carnatic songs, rather than the other way around? This would be useful if the goal of the program is to gently nudge them toward CM.

2. She is performing incredible service, but I really don't understand why she has chosen not to use a Tamboori. I don't think the sound of the tamboora risks making the program unpopular, and it would add a whole lot of beauty and support. It would make a huge difference.

I had never heard of this program, thank you for putting these up.
