I went to Malar Hospital, Adyar, Chennai on the evening of 03 April 2011 and visited Sri TKG at the ICU, offered my Pranams and prayed for his recovery. I could only visualise him as rendering 'Rasa vilaasa' (Kambodhi-Swati) at the Trivandrum Navaratri Mandapam to the great accompaniment of TNK and UKS. His music surrounded me.

Hello everyone,

The last I heard is that TKG Mama is showing indications of responsiveness through movements of the tongue and fingers, even though he has not yet opened his eyes. Doctors agreed that music would serve as a good stimulus for his senses, and so his students have provided him with an iPod - amazingly, they believe that he is able to keep and change talams as the songs are changed! I heard similar recollections about TRS Mama following his stroke several years ago. Let us continue sending our positive vibes...they seem to be working.
