Sathya blessed by Pt. Vishwa Mohan Bhatt on June 21, 2011

World Music Day on the June 21st of this year was celebrated with presentation of Handshake Concert by Rattle & Hum Muisc Society, Nagaland University, in Bangalore. This was in collabaration with NEZCC, Dimapur and Nagaland Tourism. The list of participants included bands of legendary Pt. Vishwa Mohan Bhatt (Grammy Winner), Ms Anuradha Pal, SOULMATE, SWARATHMA - from Bangalore, Divine Connection (Winner MTC ROCK ON 2011) Lohe Sisters from Nagaland presenting folk music, MELODRAMA and Kenei Chale (Brand Ambassador of Nagaland Torism and Finalist Ms Nagaland 2010) and Sathya was blessed to get a 15 mts slot! This concert was attended in full house and it was indeed an oppurtunity to witness many genres of music in one forum!

On seeing Sathya's performance Pt. Vishwa Mohan Bhatt (Grammy Winner) for the first time, blessed him and showed extraordinary magnanimity in asking Sathya to perform with him for 5 mts! Indeed an honor. Satya played well with the Pundit and the brief and spontaneous interaction was very enjoyable. Wish the crowd did not disturb by yelling after every sangathi ( or a line in the alapana) as that was distracting. Crowd should have applauded after it was done, but great job Satya. Keep up the good work.

I have very carefully listened to all the four video-clippings of Chi. Sathya’s keyboard playing you have very kindly furnished. I am extremely happy to find that he is able to play almost all kinds of oscillations of our Karnataka-ragas efficiently.
