Photos related to carnatic music on a big screen TV

Post by vasanthakokilam »

Here is a pro tip for those who have an AppleTV box. The screen saver for that can be photos from flickr. You can let it search Flickr for, say, 'carnatic' and use the results as a screen saver. It nicely puts a frame around the photos and displays a few at a time with a smooth animation of slowly moving images and scene transitions. It is quite attractive as a video wall on a big screen tv, sort of like a CM photo exhibition in your own home.

The fun thing is the surprise element, you do not really know what the next set of pictures are, it can be the audience shot from all sorts of venues, it can be a stage shot of your famous musician in action, photos of musical instruments, an MC at a CM event, some kid singing CM or occasionally some stray non-cm ones etc. It is quite varied and never boring, limited only by the supply of photos on Flickr with a 'carnatic' tag.

Those who are good at identifying artists will have a field day, say, at a party of CM enthusiasts.

Here are some samples of photos of the tv showing these pictures. Some of this may be the photos you have uploaded to Flickr ( you can see rasikalya in one )
