கோலாட்டமும் போட வேண்டும்..
மகிழ்ச்சியுடன் கொலு பாட்டு பாட வேண்டும்.
படி படியாய் பொம்மைகள்
படிக்கு படி கணபதியின் அருளுமுண்டு
துர்க்கையுடன் திருமகளும் வாணியுமுண்டு
ராதையும் கண்ணனுமுண்டு
ராமனும் சீதையமுண்டு
கூடவே அனுமனும் உண்டு
அம்பிகாபதியும் அமராவதியும்
அழகூட்ட உண்டு
பாலாஜியும் பஜனை கூட்டமும்
சேர்திங்கு உண்டு..
கல்யாண கூட்டமும் உண்டு
மகான்களும் பொலிவூட்டவே உண்டு
வண்ண கோலமும் தாமரை மலருமுண்டு..
வேறு பலவுமுண்டு!
இனிப்பும் சுண்டலமுண்டு!
இளைப்பார பூங்காவும் பக்கத்தில் உண்டு.....

Beautiful!
Sir, methinks the display warrants a better photograph.
A steady hand, a better focus. The lighting looks great but you should stand right perpendicular to the display so more dolls are in focus.

Set up and decoration with park by the side are beautiful. I am concerned about the location as one side of the golu is by window which may be susceptible to miscreants

The distance between the kolu and the opposite wall is very small..not allowing full view

to enable straight snap..

?To have a full view,it was found necessary to have an angle...
yes..there was a small shake..of the hand resulting a some what hazy pic....

After the window, there is a balcony..and the res. is on the second floor..And are safe..

Can't but think of Punarvasu's father fondly at this time of the year. How he created his own Niagara Falls and scenery for the kolus in his daughters' homes and shared them with us!

Arasi, Yes. Memory of Punarvasu's father came to me also when I saw the photos of Kolu in this thread. He was an inspiration for all of us and his writings in this forum remind us of his energy, wit and enthusiasm.

I was so touched when he ('the youngest' among us!), sent me in its entirety, my english translation in pdf (?) of Yadugiri's Bharathi ninaivugaL! This, just a few days after I finished the translation on the forum! How very young at heart was he

Venkatk, in spite of not being that fit, as with the kolu this time, shares loads of music and writings with us and with all music lovers. Though knowing him for his swiftness and eagerness in sharing, I was surprised that he put on youtube my interview at Podigai within hours after it was aired
