Smt. Manda Sudha Rani is a leading Carnatic vocalist from Andhra Pradesh. She has had advanced training from senior artists of A.P. Smt.Sudha Rani has obtained M.A.(Music) from Andhra University with 1st position in 1993. Smt.Sudha Rani is a specialist in rendering different difficult types of Pallavis like Shat Kaala Pallavi , Triraaga Pallavi , Panchanada Pallavi, Sankeerna Gati Pallavi and Avadhaana Taala pallavi. She is an A Top artist of AIR and participated in Radio sangeet sammelan and AIR national programmes, besides performing in many prestigious platforms in India and the USA. She has won several awards including ones from Music Academy and Krishna Gana Sabha, Chennai. Also she has to her name a number of popular CDs and recordings. Highly accomplished young artists Sri.Srinidhi and Sri. Manjunath will be on violin and mridangam while senior percussion exponent Smt.Sukanya Ramgopal will provide ghatam support.

When I mentioned about the concert of Manda Sudha Rani, to a senior artist, she said that she was bowled over by Sudha rani's pallavi in Music Academy (asandhu poitten). I heard one of her concerts at BTM. It was very good. Hope she is in the same good form tomorrow. Pls do attend. It is free.

@kssr sir "that asandhu poiten" I heard from few others also. That was last year's academy concert. Fortunate
to attend her concert during rAma navami at RSM another very good concert.

Yesterday she had a concert at Vishesha fine arts in Bangalore itself. Someone specifically called during the concert that itbwasnsuperb. I am eagerly looking forward to this evening concert.

Purvi raga thillana is not of Swati Tirunal. ST Thillana is in the ragam Dhanasree. If Poorvi Thillana was sung, then composer's name is not correct.
