Everyday it looks the id ssamma is reading a bunch of posts and hitting the like button of every post. I just cross checked that he is hitting the like button of almost all posts and thread that he /she reads.
Stop spamming with likes ssamma.

Nothing wrong with "liking" a post.

After all, you got 115 of them so don't complain! ssamma may help you catch up with Arasi!

As I have said about the value of reputation points, each "like" and Rs 25 will get you a cup of coffee at the Music Academy canteen during the December season.

There are also people who are far from new to the internet, but steeped in the ways of social sites such as Facebook. I don't use facebook, and maybe my source was joking, but I was told that, over in the corner of net, it is almost taken as an insult if someone does not "like" what another person has posted.

It is a shame: many of us have been asking for the return of the thumbs-up system, and now it is in danger of being rendered a nonsense,

srkris is aware that it is possible to "like" one's own posts, which I discovered accidentally. That is on the list for correction. It seems that it is also possible to "like" the same post more than once: that is also a big that needs to be fixing.

It might also be a good idea if members with no posts, or those with less than a certain period of membership (say, a month?) are not permitted to "like."

On the positive side I have read my posts written 6 years ago on rechecking ssamma "likes". And noticed that styles change over prolonged periods.

Ssamma has 'liked' six of my posts too, mostly very old ones. Led me to wonder what was the sudden urge to like old forgotten posts. Now I know.

I was so amused that many of my old posts which had nothing substantial to say also have been liked. I felt nice to know someone spent time reading my posts and liking my posts too.......But now I feel We should make it easy for ssamma by having a thumbs up icon right near the header rasikas.org. she can save time by clicking it showing her appreciation for rasikas.org as a whole rather than spend time clicking each and every post. just a thought.

I feel we are, as a tribe, most ungrateful, and to boot, disrespectful, of a lady whose identity or even gender is unknown. The fact she hasn't posted on her own makes her also a kind of "like" robot.
