Dear All,
I came across this word "RatnaSanu" in Chandrasekharashtakam. I have shown a link where the meaning is given as 'Mountain of Jewels'. One of my aunt says that the meaning is "RAINBOW".

I am unable to decide on the correct meaning. As far as the first stanza of the prayer is concerned, RAINBOW is more suitable for HIM to tie the snake as bowstring!
More light on this matter please.......
What is the meaning of 'RatnasAnu'?

Two Sanskrit dictionaries clearly state ratnasAnu is a name of Mount Meru. That (mythical) mountain is supposed to be made up of gems.
zarAsana should mean Shiva is seated on a seat made up of zara grass (even the word zaravana for Kumara is because he was found in a meadow of zara grass).
