Thank you
"Even though a dragon-fly is born in water, it does not lose its wings when it comes out. Similarly, though born in this illusory world, I was redeemed by the compassion of the Master.
"
Couldn't understand the analogy hete

The translation in the given website is very good. Just adding my thoughts on the analogy.
Being born in the water, does not confine the dragonfly to the water. It can leave the water and fly higher, fly away, being blessed with wings. So the devotee says (in the next line) that similarly he was born in this perilous Maaya, but could leave it due to the (wings -like) grace of the Guru.

Re: Guru padAravinda kOmaLam - Abhogi - OVK - Meaning for just one line
i had a this DOUBT from a long time:
though the lyrics says its sriranjini ragam but i have seen Bhairavi And Malavi sisters singing it in aboghi ragam.
can anybody provide authentic information on this.
or in other words
as penatonic/audava scales(aboghi) are very melodious and popular among rasikas ,sriranjini (shadava scale)is dropped and aboghi(audava scale) is choosen.

Ajaysimha - have u heard anyone sing it in Sriranjani - don't think so. Maybe composer did not compose in either raga. We just have to go with what renditions we have today.
