Prof TKG's books

Post by gardabha_gana »

I would like to get books with notations of Tyagaraja, Shyama Sastri & Dikshitar that was published by VId. T K Govinda Rao. They seem to be unavailable online. Can someone recommend me a bookstore or such where I can get them from? Thanks in advance.

I have ordered Syama Sastri & Swati Tirunal. Tyagaraja & Dikshitar are out of stock, and out of print. If anyone knows where I can get any remaining copies that will be very helpful.

I have a copy of his book of Thyagaraj's compositions. The book does not have notation. Has only lyrics in Devanagari(Sanskrit) and English with POOR translation in English. The translation is not word for word but only a gist of the contents. "immortal compositions of Thyagaraja" by Rama Prasad is a very good book, but has only a few compositions and does not have notations.

Sundara Rajan: The book you are referring to is the paperback edition which does not have the notations. The hard cover edition does and this is out of print.
