The last day of 23 day Spring Festival of SRLKM and really the best concert undoubtedly.
Sanjay as usual sang to a full house with Yathiraja Swamiji in the audience.A mind blowing concert in every way.
I hope one of ore eminent Rasikas posts a detailed review of the concert.The highlight was a Nattakuranji RTP.
Excellent Violin support by S Varadarajan.Violin almost singing as it were.
Concert further enhanced by three some - Neyveli Venkatesh,Guruprasanna and Rajasekhar on Morsing.

Ah, I had thought it was in rAgESri a few years ago, but friends thought not. They had it confirmed by a higher authority as well. So, a not- so-seasoned rasikA like me had to shed the rAgESri mode I was in:)

Going now to the very beginning of the concert, ST's kAma janaka--one of the earliest of my memories as a child is this song, and I haven't heard it in a long time. SahAnA always pleases, though rAmA, ika nannu brOva rAdA was a brief serving. Purvi Kalyani hooked me in with all of Sanjay's fine exposition. The rAgaAlApana was beautiful-refreshing, yet subtle. The kriti? One of my favorites.
Sanjay doesn't disappoint with Kharaharapriya, and this is a special song too. The swarAs were delightful. Janaranjani pleased no end.
Gopikatilakam AlApana was awesome. I have heard Sanjay sing it before, but this was detailed and precious. The vachana of Basavanna which followed was moving in its content.
The RTP, the R and T particularly were as fine as you can imagine. Master of tAnam did full justice to that title he bears.
Varadarajan and Venky's superb playing, Guruprasad and Rajashekhar's sounds added more fun to the concert--Guruprasad's azhutham and RS's toned down amplification...
For me, the leanest of Sanjay concerts/well, every artiste's concert this year, and I groan. Wish me better luck in the future
