The grand finale of uploads from the archives of the home of Parvathi offers in this Sankranti upload a great concert of Dr. M. L. Vasanthakumari. Lasting a full two-and-a-half hours, it has major delineations of Mohanam and Bhairavi. Dr. A. Kanyakumari on the violin is truly a revelation!

I have heard MLV many times live in the 60s -80s. She always impressed me as a grand vocalist who excelled in every aspect of a Carnatic concert. She was the pathbreaker in the vibrant, energetic style that so many lady musicians strive for even today.
