This book by Santhala Raju features 20 selected compositions of the late Sri MD Ramanathan, replete with lyrics given in Romanized English, running meaning in English and notation in Romanized English. Popular pieces like gajavadana māmpāhi (hamsadhvani), vighnarājā ninnucāla nammiti(śrīrañjani) hariyum haranum oṉṟē (aṭhāṇā), sāgaraśayanavibhō(bhāgēśrī), and tyāgarāja gurum (kēdāram) figure in this neat volume. As an added resource, the book comes along with an MP3 compact disc with śruti-based renditions of all the 20 songs in concord with the notation by the author. A good resource for MDR fans, musicians, students and conneiseuers alike.
