Could someone post the song list of Sanjay's concert at Krishna Gana Sabha, which was held on 23 Sept, Sunday? Thanks.

i dont remember the songs out and out . I went late and started early.

he sang srivalli in natabhairavi.

then a rtp in komalangi.

Manaviyala - Nalinakanthi (Outilne - Swaras)

Sree Valli Natabhairavi (RNST)
A short krithi in Begada
RTP in Komalangi - Adi Talam

As announced by the artiste, Komalangi is a janya of Charukeshi. As far as I cuuld make out it was a dhaivata varja janyam...
Accompanists were MR Gopinath, Guruvayoor Dorai and TV Vasan.

Last season, Sanjay did sing at Krishna Gana Sabha and asked the organizers to let in those who were standing outside when he saw there were enough empty seats to accommodate them.
The varnam is the one he sang at the Academy last season.

Sanjay sang Komalangi swarams during his sensational Varali RTP last year in one of his concerts, that was released recently by Charsur. The reception he got for those particular swarams in the raga were incredible, he's gone one better this time...Ram had also posted the review..

Yes, the varnam is the one composed by Calcutta Krishnamoorthy Bhagavathar from MA last year.

There were two separate incidents with Sanjay and KGS. The first was a few seasons ago (circa 2001 or so) which resulted in Sanjay not performing there for the following 2-3 seasons. From what I hear from the grapevine, the issue was remuneration related. The second and more recent issue is related to scheduling and double-booking of other events in the adjacent SKGS mini-auditorium.

Sbala, Sanjay started singing in KGS again in 2005. I attended his brilliant concert there in the 2005 season (with MASundaresan and Karaikudi Mani) which featured Sri RamA ramaNI manoharA as the main piece and a detailed treatment of Rishabapriya. I heard a recording on his 2006 concert which was equally amazing (in fact the incident that Arasi cites has been captured on tape).

Not a very elaborate Pallavi by Sanjay standards. Taanam was top notch as usual. Standard Adi kaalam pallavi with no Trikaalam...I don't recall the swara kalpana swaras but I think there Anandabhairavi and Yadukulakambhoji...
