dear ramaraj(vageyakara). thanks to sangeethapriya, I just nowheard TNS rendition of the dikshithar's kriti oftrhe same name of the raaga, a very tough raaga. but could not trace from the books I have,the source (melakarta) of this raaga. it has a very thin resemblance of nasikabhushani or rasikapriya , will you pl guide? a ghazal by Ghulam ali 'HUCH DIL TO BASO ,MERI ANKHON ME ' is somewhat similar . gobilalitha

Dear Balu(GBL) sANTHANAMANJARI IS A DERIVATIVE OF (67) sucharitra.
Thtere is rare kriti "Santhana manjari shankari" of dhikshitatar
Since It comes under the "Aditya chakram the poorvaangam (aroh) for all the six following ragams(upto panchamam)is one and the same , It tends to look like either
Nasik.Bhooshani or Rasi.priya.
(1) sucharitra (2)JotiSwaroopani(3)dhatu vardhini(4)nasik.Bhooshani(5)kosalam and (6)Rasikapriya
