Bharat Sangeet Utsav 2008 at New Delhi

Carnatica is pleased to present an edition of its premier event 'Bharat Sangeet Utsav', in DELHI for the 1st time! Having conducted the fest in Chennai in November for the past three years and Bangalore earlier this month, the warm reception that it received has encouraged us to try this idea in a different city. Here's the schedule:

3.00 pm: Carnatica Brothers, VVS Murari & Neyveli Narayanan
5.00 pm: S. Sowmya, VVS Murari & Neyveli Narayanan
7.00 pm: Pt. Vishwa Mohan Bhatt & Salil V. Bhatt

Sounds excellent. Would be interesting to watch the same combo (Varadarajan-Neyveli Venktatesh, Sanjeev/VVS Murai-Neyveli Narayanan) accompany different artistes. Neyveli Narayanan in particular has a packed schedule! I wonder if NSG has perfomed with Neyveli Venkatesh before...good to note that Carnatica has established a continuing rapport with HM stars like Ashwini, Vishwamohan bhatt, and Sanjeev A

Eagerly look forward to reports... we don't get much feedback on this forum from the concert action in Delhi...

Is the programme on? No announcements inLocal News papers. We have Thyagaraj Festival by Shanmukananda Sabha at AP Auditorium. To day it is Malladi Bros, tomorrow Subha Ganesan and Bombay Jayashree and on Monday it is Bombay sisters. tuesday it is Lakshmi Rnagarajan.

For a changethis weekend in Delhi is like Dec in chennai.( Ofcourse without Arusuvai etc.,.)

Yes the programme is very much on... Neyveli Sir and Sanjay sang last nite. Today's line-up includes Ashwini Bhide Deshpande (concert going on right now!), Carnatica Bros, Sowmya & Pt. VM Bhatt. Please do join us!

thanks Jaisree for theinform.Some how I missed tosee your earlier post. I will be definetly be there for some concerts today and tomorrow.

Vijay- i willpost a songlist and light review. my knowledge is not too deep so too much of a technical review will be difficult.
