It was a very pleasant and peaceful evening. Their music gave this immaculate and unadulterated feeling from the very beginning to the very end.
Dr John Marr in his usual, inimitable concluding speech highlighted that the brothers reminded him of Musiri and that they seemed to have an extraordinary grasp of the tala’s inherent rhythm within the composition (apologies, I didn’t quite get the technical name of this skill).
Shri Balachandar and Shri Murali were wonderful as accompanists and their tani was so power-packed, it could be compared to dodging bullets, in Dr Marr’s words.

Rudrapatnam Brothers have been following 'sampradaya' music' without compromise for over
two decades. Hats off to them for not yielding to showmanship. In every concert of their's you
can find one or two rarely heard kritis or ragas being dealt very convincingly and truly classical .
The Rudrapatnam stamp will always be there to see.
