I am sorry to hear this. I cherish my brief interaction with him way back in mid-1970s.

I just found out this morning that a collection of more than 10 music Sabhas in Bangalore have arranged a "Shradhanjali" Program on December 7, 2008 at 11:00 AM in Rajaji Nagar, Bangalore, in memory of Prof. Mysore V. Ramarathnam.

Can any one on this thread in Bangalore, post more information on this event??

I have hard copies of the book Reminescences of a Musician by Prof. Ramarathnam, that was released in Mysore, Chennai and Cleveland, OH during 2006-2007 on the occasion of Professor's 90th birthday celebrations. I need help in indentifying universities, music schools that have ethno-musicology and significant interest in carnatic music, in Europe, and Austrailia and Asia so that I can donate few copies to their library.

Really appreciate if Rasikas can post the mailing address of reputable universities and schools of music.
