Pasupathy,
I remember the name Surabhi associated with kavithaigaL, and no more. This poem on Nehru, on second and third reading makes it even more enjoyable.
A pity, we now live in a world where the kind of journalism which swamps us is the sensational kind which focuses on personalities--especially the negative aspects of them .
We were lucky to be growing up in the days of heroes and of national fervor. We saw ideals being put to action right in front of our eyes. In today's 'disenchanted' (cynical?) way of thinking, it is very difficult for the youngsters to see the world through our eyes.
Yet, how direly they need to have a taste of those times! They long for it, it seems. Otherwise, why would gurus of positive thinking be best sellers!
