Hyderabad Brothers sang it at their Ottawa concert:

Maybe cmlover can get the lyrics from a recording from someone in town. Thanks CML.

Yes they did sing it with gusto which was well appreciated. Unfortunately I have no recording and I may get it from the Association (in case they recorded it). If so I will try to post the audio..

As luck would have it, I just got this audio from a friend. But very poor recording and I apologize.
If you can get the lyrics from it do post for the benefit of others!
In case I get a better recording I will post it at that time...

from a letter written by T.Sankaran -

/Ayyo vibhuDu nanu MaracEnE //
/nEnOrvagalanE lalanA //

/sayyATalagu rammani sakulanu ne/
VayyAru daTa valampinanu A/
gayyALi valalO tagali rADAya/
nEnOrvagalanE lalanA //

tarAtaramu leni A savati[1] nA //
parAparika nencina gAdE//
nirAkarincE (sri) dharmapurISuDu/
/nEnOrvagalanE lalanA //

[1] Smt. rama ravi sings this as polati. i don't think it affects the meaning..

Thank you so much! I was completely unable to find these lyrics elsewhere.

Could a knowledgeable member maybe shed some light on the meaning?

Here is the general translation with minor corrections:

/Ayyo vibhuDu nanu MaracEnE //
Oh!! my lord has forgotten me!!
/nEnOrvagalanE lalanA //
Can I bear it? Oh friend!!!

/sayyATalaku rammani sakhulanu ne/
VayyAru daTa valampinanu A/
I sent my friends to his house inviting that graceful man for play (A = that)
gayyALi valalO tagali rADAye/
but having been caught in the net of that nagging woman, he doesn't come
nEnOrvagalanE lalanA //
Can I bear it? Oh friend!!!

tarAntaramu leni A savati[1] nA //
barAbariga nencina gAdE//
I have always considered that savati (means co-wife: if a man has two wives, one wil be a co-wife to the other. But in this context, it can be construed as a competing woman) as my equal

nirAkarincE (sri) dharmapurISuDu/
The Lord of Dharmapuri has refused me (meaning picked her over me)
/nEnOrvagalanE lalanA //
Can I bear it? Oh friend!!!

Shishya - that was lovely - thanks!! Does polati means the same as savati?

polati means woman in general savati means co-wife... In this context, savati seems to be appropriate enough since the naayika sees the other woman as her competitor. This is my opinion...

The 2nd charana of the composition is as follows -
garaagari kagala dora doraninne
baraatamulu pampinaraaka
paramukamu salipiraadaye
nenorvagalane lalana

One of the earliest recordings of "ayyo vibhudu"
