Strange reunion of a static auditorium of Hoover Middle School, semi static
your truly and a very active Californian trio

On Oct 22, a strange reunion took place between a sleepy middle school auditorium, a senior citizen whose musical awareness did not match his love of Carnation music and a trio of Californian youngsters with pants too short to Indian standards or shorts too long to Indian standard discussing John McEnroe and Chris Everett, Magic Johnson and Larry Bird Wayne Gretzky and twenty years later the same set with little or no difference in the status of the school auditorium but for couple of torn seat cushions, and couple of fused elec tric bulbs , yours truly musical awareness maintaining status quot compensating it with a greater assortment of arthritic pains and aches but with remarkable changes in the Californian Trio , Vocalist Aditya, Violonis Arin and Mrudangist Nirmal ,Pants or Shorts giving place Jarigai Veshti,T shirts being replaced with Colorful Jibbas and Anulomam Vilomam Eduppu Sruthi Bedham Urmika and Vasanthi etc. in place of the American Sportsman with one of them sufficiently mature enough to enter into Matrimony and occupying the stage for giving a full concert. Under the auspicious of South Indian Music Academe my, the premier Sabah in Los Angeles area

( I had noted down the songs in a paper but unfortunately, I could not read my own hand writing later. So I might have missed some items for which I sincerely apologies to rsikas. )
This is one of the concerts which I felt ended too soon.
Although I think I have adjusted to current times, yet there are some areas where my old phobias still persist and the double ragam R.T.P s still induce some vague fear that the artist will miss the cue, similar to the fear while watching flying trapeze in circus That prevented me from savouring the R.T.P fully. Before I conclude let me share my elation and scence of pride on the performance of my “gaon wale” who have formally entered the senior circuit as a team. May Sri Rama bless you all.
