The Iyer Brothers of Melbourne presented a beautiful traditional veena duet concert in Sydney. At the beginning of the concert, they dedicated the concert to their late guru, Sri Trivandram R. Venkataraman.
It was an excellent concert sans gimmicks or frills. The detailed alapanas in kalyani and kapi complemented the pure rendition of the kritis. The padam and javali were played as a tribute to late Smt T. Brinda, in her birth centenary year. The percussion team of Sri Tanjavur Kumar and Sri Vaikom Gopalakrishnan really enhanced the concert with their play.
