However, I have listened to an AIR Pgm of NKM, in which this song is sung in KAnadA.

Are BR's songs sung in diff Ragams - like for eg, PD's songs are often sung in diff Ragams ?

I have already replied to this question elsewhere I think. PD, BR, AK, Annamacharya's songs can be sung as per the artiste's imagination and creativity.
