SVS Narayanan

I heard that SVS Narayanan was a great Mrudangam Vidwan but not much information is available. Maybe because he played during the golden times of Mrudangam Trinity (PMI,PSP,CSM) . Can rasikas give more information about this vidwan.

SVSNarayanan was the staple Mridangist when PMI, PSP,CSM were not available because he (like Vellore Ramabhadran) realised & practised the Golden rule that making the concert level EXCELLENT & EXEMPLARY as possible supporting the main artist was his MAJOR job & subtle LOW DECIBEL LEVELS were the BETTER choice for acheiving it. He has accompanied & been appreciated by ALMOST ALL the LEADING ARTISTS OF THE GOLDEN AGE like Chembai, M.S., FLUTE MALI etc AS WELL AS DISCERNING AUDIENCES......VKV

Lovely accompaniment, as per Sri VKV Mama's comments..uplifts the concert. I am also guessing my dad (MKR) may have additional knowledge on the vidwan (though he is in transit somewhere in India at present
