The Lalgudi Trust and Krutagnya promoted by Lalgudi GJR Krishnan and Vijayalakshmi conducted Violin Vaibhavam for 2nd time on Jan 03,2016 at Dr.H N Multi media Hall,The National College at Basavanagudi,Bangalore.
The first Violin Vaibhavam was conducted in Jan 2015 at Chennai.
The aim is to promote and show case Violin students of different gurus.In Bangalore a number of young students - trained by Lalgudi School,Sri Kumaresh,Vidwan H K Venkataram,Vidwan T S Krishna Murthy and a few more were presented with each team given slot for 45 minutes.Along with Violin,young Mrudangam,Ghatam artists were teamed up.
It is very creditable that the lalgudi Siblings have taken up this arduous task to promote young violin artists.people should encourage and attend concerts by Instrumentalists.
Violin Vidwan Sri H K Venkataram felt that violin is one of the most difficult instruments to master.
He expressed happiness regarding the pool of talent available and hoped Rasikas will encourage the artists.
He complimented Sri GJR Krishnan and Vijayalakshmi for the initiative and recalled that Sri GJR Krishnan brought Violin repair experts from abroad and trained local tunesmith in violin repair.
