Dear All,
I had joined on 28th, February,2009 and from today, 19th, October, 2016, I shall be inactive member. I have realized that my active stay is unwarranted, stop indulging and engage the minds of few forumites responding to my posts. Grateful thanks to the Team, Rasikas.org. Rasikas.org secured me few sahridaya rasikas, Sri VKV Sir, Sri R.Sachidanand Sir, Sri H.N.Bhagwan, Sri K.V.Chellappa, Sri Nageshwaran Sir, Sri C.Rama Sir, Sri K.S.Srinivasa Raghavan Sir, Sri Govindan Sir, Sri Venkatachalam Sir, Sri Nick Heynes Sir, Sri Ramakrishnan Sir (Arkays).

I am fully engaged with my studies and the projects with IGNCA-Karnataka Sangeetham and few other organizations. I wish greatest success for the Team, Rasikas.org and Rasikas.org.

Thank You all Forumites

Munirao Sir, Your decision is definitely a loss for the forum. For you have given lot of insights into various aspects of music. However, wish you sincerely all the best in your future endeavours. I know that also will be for the benefit of music and musicians.

Munirao Sir It is a matter of regret if any member with scholarly equipment leaves the forum. ..a) If the post is not a query or request for help, 'no response 'may not always be due to indifference..but .(!)......b) if the post is for sharing your experience , knowledge and information, it may have been seen but not grasped. Unless there had been any critical or adverse comments, one need not leave the forum.....I would even say, if the adverse comments are rude and ill-informed and lacking in etiquette, it is for you to stay and drive out the 'cheer-leader' crowd. from this serious forum. .Stay and Win

I can admit that your posts have frequently been too scholarly for me --- but the deficiency is with my brain power, and the fault all mine.

Also, to stress that many, many posts on the forum get read, and even appreciated, without the reader making any response.

All the best: I hope we do hear from you again.

Nick-> The word 'scholar' simply means a person who is a serious learner. ( original meaning). 'school'(!), scholastic, scholarship, ..Who ever is deeply interested in a subject and pursues it to the best of his ability with humility ...is a scholar . Speaking of myself, I am a syudent and so I suppose I too am a 'scholar'... Take it easy.

True. Scholarship is important, and not stopping learning is important.

Muniraogaru,
The tinge of sadness in your parting post is indeed palpable. I know there are occasions when some remarks of forumites might have hurt you. I also had left the forum twice and came back. I hope you will also be back for active participation.

Unlike many other forums, this forum has been a place for gentlemanly discussions even on subjects which otherwise could arouse passions. I felicitate the forumites for that civility, and earnestly hope that there will be no occasion for any other member to leave with regret.

Sri Munirao,

I pray and wish for your success in your endeavors and please do provide links to your publications if any in future.

Many times to understand what you may be implying requires a deep study by itself - I am limited by my knowledge and react based on what is my experience. This is true of many posts - as we are all limited by our time to able think through as well. Being a crack pot is easy ( some of us enjoy being so) , being a nirai kuDam ( filled pot) is tough and forums may not be the best place.

Your request for an intellectual debate on TMK's opinions was met with vitriol - but no specifics were offered - just bombastic dismissals. That was unfortunate. At least on my criticisms I have tried to be specific within the sphere of my knowledge.

All is not lost - and hope to hear from you soon!! PraNams.

Munirao Sir,

Opinions from different people will be always varied . Please remember there are 100's or 1000's of passive rasikas who are reading what you have written and may completely be in line with your post. Many may passively agree , despite active counterpoints by few posters. As long as you have communicated , it is fine and you just have to move on.

Please come back - may be few days of hibernation is okay. As VGV said , you should always return
