shlOkam in mOhanam followed by rAmA ninnu nammina s@pallavi
vidajAladura s@pallavi
Simply superb mOhanam and janaranjani openers. And here is proof positive that language isn't a barrier for appreciating CM, good music. Unless I have some translation, I can't make out the meaning of what is being sung; except ninnu, nammina, manasu etc.

sriranjani pramAdham!
...... because "pramadham" means 'accident' or 'disaster' in Telugu!

She started with 'satgurugajAsya', a verse that Vid Amrita Murali and Vi. Ramakrishnan Murthy also sing. Can some one shed some light on this?
Vid Sruthi Ravali followed it up with a lovely padyamu (which I am told are almost always sung in mOhanam, true?) in telugu....before she sang rAmA ninnu nammina, a new kRti for me - what a sprightly mOhanm that was.

I think this sloka was penned by Sringeri Periyava. As far as I know, this has been popularised by R K Shriramkumar and you can see all of his sishyas starting with this beautiful slokam. I first heard it from a lec dem of his, alas no longer available :/ Check viewtopic.php?f=11&t=27182. In the lec dem he starts with this in Shankarabaranam and moves on to Swara Raga Sudha. I have a local copy somewhere, will see if I can just upload that bit again.
