This rAgA, which is attributed to Thyagaraja, goes like this :
A: S R2 M1 P D1 N2 S
Av: S N2 D1 M1 G2 R2 S
It is mostly scalar in nature. Although phrases like R G R are also possible. Thyagaraja has composed one kriti (SrI rAma pAdamA) in this rAga. The opening line of this kriti is a little tricky and contains a swarAksharam on pAdamA (P,,D M,). On the first sangati, one needs to be careful to avoid introducing G2 in 'nee krpa jAlunE' -- R,,(M)GR S R,,R M,
It also has a unique phrase S-M from the upper S to M which may either be plain or with a jhAru (slide)
So I am going to share 2 recordings of it, one of which is a surprise number.
