Introductory books for an interested listener?
Can anybody recommend any good books for an introduction to the history and basics of Carnatic music? I am a listener, not a practitioner, so I am not familiar with the technical aspects.

Dr. Sriram, thank you very much for these links. I'm yet to go through them in their entirety but they seem to have a lot of useful material for a beginner like me.RSR wrote: ↑05 Oct 2019, 18:38Though a book was asked for, I am suggesting my websites. and a book in website form.
